My dogs have my first quilt lol. I didn't use very good fabric. I used it on the couch and washed it so many times that it faded so they got it and love it. The second one, better fabric. ...is still on the couch and gets washed often. It still looks wonderful. All the rest of my quilts are rolled up on fabric roller in my doll room. I keep all my quilts lol...unless I get an offer I can't refuse...Now I have made quilts that I have given to family and friends.

I was glad to get rid of my first quilt. It was .....bad. My second was not much better either. Just thinking about them I am embarrased. They were ...Sooooo bad, but that was over 35 years ago and I have thankfully learned a thing or two.

I made my first quilt as a wedding gift for my best friend in high school. Then, Mom cut 4 1/2" squares from the leftovers of clothing she made for us in the 60's 'cause I had "made a quilt" with that size square. I still have it! It is a falling apart mess - but so warm and cozy. Two layers of batting - only tied. I patch it once in a while. My kids love it to death. We've found it works as a moving blanket too. But it always comes back. To embarrass me, I guess.
