The first quilt I ever made I made for my sister in-law. It was made using her color and fabric choices and she wanted it to be tied not quilted. I gave it to her as a gift.

I need to finish mine. Recently I pulled it out and separated the layers. Not sure what I will do.

I kept my very first quilt that I made in 9th grade. It became my picnic blanket and now has been retired. It was made of one of those very "ugly" flannels and it has been worn through in many places. We lived in a single wide trailer and I tied in on frames leaning in the hallway. Thankfully I have much more space these days!

I'm still WORKING on my first quilt. King sized, hand quilting. I've done lots of others over the years since I sandwiched that first one + made lots of tops that are stored away for future quilting, but ... still hand quilting my first one!

My first quilt was a modified JoAnn BOM kit. I finished it and gave it to my mother for Xmas, a few years ago. There were a few mistakes in it. But she loves it and shows it off to everyone.

Ikept mind and now, altho, I am embarassed to show it, it does show me how far I've come and what I've learned on the journey. Your quilt is lovely besides. I would keep it and treasure it. I love your color sense.
