I found the design in a magazine several (5+) years ago and made 50 blocks. I uneartyhed the box from the garage last month and made enough more to make a queen size.
Does anyone have any idea of the block name??

    Thanks -- Mim

Nice quilt. The closest I found was the Economy quilt block but it's without the four patch. Hope someone can come up with the name.

It's very pretty! A variation of Square in a Square I would think.

    Hey, look here. :-D :-D :-D It's called...Four Patch in a Square
This one is without sashing which gives a different look. Very interesting.

The center 4 patch is 2" squares (finished) and the rest is as you go -- It ends up as a 8 1/2 inch unfinished. The sashing is cut 2 1/2"

By being careful which way I pressed the seams, most pieces nested as I sewed so the blocks came together. The earlier blocks were sloppy so there are a lot of cut off points. I guess I was having a difficult emotional time.

Interesting how I can tell my frame of mind by the sewing -- especially when I look at my hand quilting
