    I like the onion bag idea. I have always put the string in a pile under the trees but the wind takes most of it..neighbors will like the bag idea!

    Yes, but I put mine in a soot feeder cage and hung it from the deck.

    I have never done this. What a clever idea. I enjoy feeding and watching hummingbirds. I will sure give this a try.

    Be sure to snip them into like one inch pieces or thereabouts, as the birds can get their tiny feet caught in longer threads... and they have no way to get untangled.
