Does anyone else do this?

You know???? I alway have a hummingbird feeder and a very well-used bird bath because I love watching them, but have never thought of your idea. I love it and come spring, there will be one for them. Thanks for posting this, Lori.

Great idea. I dump my threads on my cutting table and run over the pile a number of times with my rotary cutter to be sure the threads are short enough. Toss in some cat fur and the bag is ready to hang. Neighbors laugh that I have the warmest, most colorful bird nests on the street.

I go to the Bird sites, and have read several articles regarding using thread and HAIR for the birds to build nests with. It seems this is not a good idea... the thread gets wet and so does the hair, is hard to dry out when birds weave their nests. I used to use my thread and also hair for the birds... I do not do this any longer. You might look it up and use your own judgement.
