I make all kinds of stuff for the family. I make custom fishing bags and will even hold your catch. And I made a fancy custom tool belt for one of our sons for his b-day last year.

I will have to find the fishing bag to take a photo of it.

Mine just think because I own 3 sewing machines I should do all their mending! My daughter thinks I can do anything so Halloween costumes for the grandsons are getting more & more complicated as the years go by

Oh boy, this is a good thread! Yes, my family think I can do anything that involves sewing, and I usually give it a try. I once helped remove car seats from a old Triumphe car that my son bought. I took of old covers and made new. Did it on my Featherweight!! I repair grass catchers for the mower, let in and take out pants all the time, and I always hear," It won"t take anytime mom, you can do it". Whip up curtains, add dust ruffles to quilts, repair tents, make neck coolers for playing sports, you name it, my kids think I can do it all. I'm just glad they think I am that clever!!LOL

I made my youngest DD a dress with all the ribbons that were popular in the 90's. I have never sewed ribbon to ANYTHING else! My DD (age 7) went to school the first day she wore it, and took orders for dresses, for her friends! I actually had mothers calling to see when the dresses would be done, could they pick the color, etc.! Some people's children! Ha Ha!

My DS is always asking me to fix his pants. I do, but I draw the line at doing his friend's pants. He says they like the job I do on his. He works in construction, and is very hard on his clothes.

This thread is just TOO funny! Do you think "they" are just raising our self esteem or trying anything to get their "job" done!
