This is a quilt I recently finished for a dear friend. She's 93 this year and will be moving to assisted living as soon as a room opens. Unfortunately she will have to leave her cocker spaniel, Ebony, behind. I saved all of Ebony's dog groomer bandanas. This quilt is my way of keeping Roberta and Ebony together. Gave her the quilt tonight. She was delighted. Thanks for looking

This was so nice of you. I can't even imagine how it would be to have to give up my dog. Where will Ebony be going?

I love that you used Ebony's bandanas in this cute quilt, and the back side is pretty too. Very clever! Thanks for sharing.

That was what I was wondering too. I've been thinking of getting another Dobie, but due to my age, have hesitated to do so.

So sad, that older folks can't have their pets with them. They've been almost children and I can imagine how she feels to have to dump a pet you've loved.

At 93, people shouldn't have to give up their pets that comfort them and makes them want to stay alive. I think this is such a black mark on America -we really need to change the way we treat our elders compared to most other countries.

I love the black sashing, it really lets the colors pop! This was a very thoughtful thing for you to do.
