    Default don't like ufo's

I normally don't like UFO's I like to finish one thing before starting something else. However at the moment I have three quilts, one is my 'sampler' top made with batiks and black, I love that combo, a ten minute block quilit and one made of differing sized pieces of fabric. I am coming to the USA in four weeks and I'm hanging off till then to buy backing fabric as the fabric is so expensive in the UK.

Pretty tops and I don't blame you for waiting to buy backs where they will be less expensive. Bring a little bag of scraps with you to coordinate with your tops and get a little extra for bindings. Also pick up a few neutral backs for future quilts. Bring or buy an extra suitcase.

Quilt backing can be very expensive! I finally found a shop that sells it for $9.oo a yard and thats for 108 in. wide. With the prices of fabric being what they are, we need every break we can get!! Enjoy your trip!
