I wouldnt say to not bother, but I would figure out how much you paid in supplies, add your talent and time and tell her you will sell her one for that amount. That is if you value her friendship.

Not just no, BUT Gee Whiz no! Not today, not tomorrow, I understand that when you give someone something it becomes theirs. They can then do what they want to with it but I feel it is in very poor taste to sell a gift and then ask for a replacement. Very selfish of her, JMHO.

Friend - what friend! Don't bother to make her another. Very hurtful that she should sell it before speaking to you. Bad enough if she had given it away. Just tell her you haven't time. She is obviously one of those people who don't appreciate the time and effort that goes into our craft, and how much of ourselves we put into these works, especially if they are made as a gift.

O would charge her $40 for the second one. That way if she sold it she would not have made a profit on your labor. But then I would probably not make her another one. In fact I am not sure I would make a gift for a person who Iknew later sold something I had made for her. If she had given it away, that would be a different matter, maybe LOL.
