I, finally, finished quilting and binding my DIC. My first free form quilting. Not too bad for a beginner, eh?

    Jackie,
Your quilting is WONDERFUL! I say this because I am in the middle of learning to do this myself! There is a definite learning curve and I believe you have mastered it!

Thank you Yvonne. I'm coming close to charging a small fee for top quilting pantographs but I guess I'm going to have to take in some charity quilts for practicing free form. It amazes me how nice they look when they are done and you just don't think that while you're doing the work. Top quilting is rather forgiving sometimes.

I got my longarm in December and people have been nice enough to let me practice on their charity quilts and unfinished projects.

jacquemoe, I am VERY impressed! I am trying free motion quilting today and mine doesn't come close to comparison. Yours is gorgeous! I knew you'd be great at this! Teach me!

Thanks Chele and everyone for the very nice compliments. I can't draw a thing with a pencil. I do have my issues with the longarm but I know it will take a lot of practice and it's easier than using a pencil and way easier than using a sewing machine. Maybe I'll post some of my practicing to give everyone a good laugh.

That is ..is...WONDERFUL!!!! Free motion?? It looks like you followed a pattern! I'm just starting to practice free motion and I'll never get to where you are if I practice 20 more years!!

The colors of your quilt are also wonderful. I love, love, love them. I'm going back to see if you posted a picture of the whole thing....

Wow, now I feel ashamed of doing basic diagonals on the one I'm doing. True I'm hand quilting, but your work is so beautiful I can't help but wondering about the longarm.
