This is the double slice pattern from Missouri Star. I think I posted the link somewhere above. It is one layer cake, can't remember the dimensions, but makes a generous lap size. You could make it bigger by adding borders. Then I just doubled the length of the finished top for the backing. I think I did 5 yards, with some left.
