I have never seen this before, I love it. Thank you for sharing. May I ask what the pattern is called. Tried to find it online to order and was not successful. Thanks.

My block finished at 8 and 1/2 inches as it is now. My pieces were
2-4 1/2 inch cream square, 6-2 1/2 inch squares, (1-3 1/2 inch square, 2-3 1/2 inch rectangles) trim this section to 4 1/2 after assembling the head section
1-4 1/2 inch batik square, 4-2 1/2 X 4 1/2 inch batik rectangles, 2-2 1/2 inch batik squares, 1-1 1/2 inch batik square(head) I believe these are the pieces but I trimmed the head section after assembling that section to fit.
I thought it would be hard but it came together well. I wouldn't attempt sewing the sections together though without stay stitching the fold back pieces on first. I think 3 of this size blocks stacked perpendicular will make a pretty spring wallhanging.
I really like the quilt pattern too and now that I see how it works, I will order the pattern to add to my " to do" list of quilts.
For those interested...the pattern name is Dance of the Dragonflies and it can be found at http://www.southwindquilts.com/shop/...sku-SWD321.htm I don't know if the link will work as I am computer challenged.

It looks great, will make a nice wall hanging. I did their Mexican Stars pattern and really like the way it turned out.

Tartan, I love it you did a great job. I have this pattern and am a bit intimidated by it. Maybe next year I will give it a go:-)
