My daughter LOVES dragonflys, so i took a class to learn to make the center block of this quilt...i had never quilted anything before, so when the class was done i put the block away, figuring now i need to learn to make a quilt...i turned that block into a HUGE quilt (12 foot x 14 foot) i didn't know how to make it stop growing. this is my very first completed quilt.
it was a wedding gift for my darling daughter and hung behind their table at the reception everyone was so 'blown-away' by it..
and i have been quilting like a crazy person every since.

That is fantastic, I too love dragonflies may I ask where you got the design/pattern , I have just started to have a go at stained glass and am finding patterns that are not too intricate hard to find.

i will dig through boxes later and locate the patterns, the first one (the center block) i bought at the quilt shop where i took the class, the other ones i think i received from "KEEPSAKE QUILTING", i LOVE the stained glass technique, it is very forgiving and you get dramatic results.

Love it!! I've had a couple of stained glass patterns of dragonfly's w/fabric for over a year. Haven't had the push to try. They look so pretty I'm going to try it!!
