    jmoore....I did not use a pattern. The blocks (4 blocks that surround center Dresden) are 15 1/2" UF. Cut 12 colored 3" squares and 24 BG for the Irish Chain block. The borders are half of the Irish Chain block. Plus.. 8x15 1/2" of BG between and 8x8 for corners of quilt. I hope this makes sense..
