I have this pattern and have been wanting to make a quilt with it for a long while, but just get up the courage to tackle it yet. I love yours, such an inspiration. Thanks for sharing. Love it.

I had to Pin this. There is so much to learn from your work that I don't want to take the chance of losing it. I just love it! Your real estate agent is going to absolutely love it.

Cute quilt! And I like your idea about a seasonal version, too.

Adorable and so colorful and looks like it is meant for your front porch. Yes-that would be an absolute perfect gift for your RE agent.

I love it! Is it ok if I send a photo of it to Kim (the designer)? Shes a friend of mine and loves to see what people make with it.

I love how you used grunge fabric. And I love the spiky spokes you added. It gives it such a modern look. Ive made several myself. And I thought of that idea too of making them for different holidays or seasons. Fun! My favorite so far that Ive done is a Halloween one.

Lori....absolutely send a photo to Kim. There are so many different patterns for this and since I didn't use a pattern to make mine, I did not credit a specific designer.

The fabric actually isn't grunge though it looks like it. I used chambray tonals fabric....a line from Connecting threads.

Thank you for the lovely comments everyone! Such a fun project!

One can certainly go crazy with adding fun stuff to your neighborhood like trees, floral's, flags etc..... I did make a church but limited the fun embellishment because I wanted the color wheel to be primary focus. However, wouldn't it be fun to make 4 different neighborhoods representing each season and make a quilt? Or using "sky" background fabric. The ideas are endless. This is 24" squared and is mostly a wall hanging but I made this into a giant pillow for my front entry bench. I ordered a 24" pillow form so it was easy enough to do a pocket pillow. Anywhoooo..applique is turned edge and machine sewn using monofilliment clear and smoke colors from Superior Threads. I'm going to make another one as a gift for my real estate agent....when he sells my house. Lol!! Perfect gift for a real estate agent don't you think?
Very cool! I have never seen that but I love it!

That is sew cute. I can see it in a larger version as the center of a quilt for the bed or an a larger throw. Your colors and fabrics compliment the piece perfectly.

Sew fun! Your color wheel houses are great! The background with the birds is neat too.

Love it love it love it! And without a pattern! If the real estate agent doesn't like it (after selling your house first), I think a lot of us will happily take it off your hands!

A quilt is like a good life. It's full of mistakes, but, in the end, it looks pretty good.
