DWR is Finished

So glad to see that your hubby is doing well. Your quilt is gorgeous...such bright and cheery colors. You have done a beautiful job. The quilting must have been quite a challenge, too, and was a definite success.

I love your quilt! How did you make the white border? Is that a pattern? I've been working on a dwr quilt for awhile now and thought a border like that would be perfect but I couldn't figure out how to do it.

I just added the white border. I used the Eleanor Burns method of sewing the arcs on to squares. So, adding the border was easy for me.

The Labor of Love Quilts are always the best in my eyes, especially when they have a story behind them , why they were made and where they came from at the time of your life. Glad your hubby is on the road to better health. Your quilt is beautiful. I crocheted the DWR for my son and DIL and it was a challenge. To make it as a quilt is on my TO DO list someday , when my health improves.
