Easter table runner & MSQC pattern "The Big Star" both for me :-)

I passed by a quilt shop last month after finishing some work in the area and found an adorable Easter table runner kit so of course I couldn't resist and bought it and I kept staring at it the whole period until finally decided to make it....wow toooooo much appliqué but worth it.
The other one is a bed quilt for my bed "after more than three years of quilting finally I made one for me". It is the Missouri star quilt company pattern the big star and I used Kansas trouble fabric by Moda (love the deep colors"
    Thanks for looking

Both items are great. I know what you mean about finally doing something for yourself. I have done that this year and when a family member asks who it is for. I say "me". I have had some fun doing what I want for me.

Love both your projects ...on your big star quilt...how big are the blocks on this one?...did you use Jenny's method of cutting the squares and if so what size did you cut the squares?

Love both projects. I thinks the MSQC star quilt is becoming very popular with good reason. I want to make one too.
The fabrics you chose suit this pattern well.

The quilt is just beautiful, and I love the colors. Hope you'll enjoy that Easter table runner for years to come. Our quilt group of 6 made an Easter runner one year that took right much time. At that time, I was questioning the hours put into it, but now I love pulling it out every Easter and enjoying this labor of love. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you sew much everyone. I can't wait for my quilt to be finished but i am sure sending this one to gramyxseven as she does all my custom work and love what she does. It will be a waste to see an allover pattern for this as i could've done on my long arm but special quilt like this needs to look fabulous.

I know what you mean but none of my kits are for easter....do you see now how i bought it???? LOL
I can tell you one thing it is not a project that you finish in one day like pieced table runners. It needs time! but worth it.
