I did that same quilt for my little great grandson. It was so cute. I've been thinking about another crayon quilt but haven't got it planned out just yet

what a fantastic idea and the quilt is absolutely adorable. Is it hand embroidered? I have an embroidery machine and I would love to do something like that.

Both the quilt and the fact that your granddaughter named all the puppies are too adorable!

A wonderful childs quilt. It will be loved for years to come. Isn't it fun to make our grandchildren quilts?

    That's so cute.

What a great idea! I had assumed that the heat setting of the crayon would also melt the rayon or poly embroidery thread, but clearly it doesn't. Thanks so much for sharing.

Could you please post where you got the puppies to embroider. I have a project from my guild to make a quilt for blind children and I think this would be awesome.

P.S. I made a crayon quilt years ago and did exactly as instructed but it was a frequently washed quilt and didn't last very long. The quilt is still here and wonderful but the crayon coloring didn't last. If I were to do it again I would use permanent pens for the coloring.

I made a puppy quilt for my granddaughter too. She also named them all so I embroidered the names on each block!

I did almost the same quilt. Can't remember where I got the pre-printed squares but it was fun and quick. I still have it.
