May I ask? How do you keep the embroidery work sitting on top instead of being buried in the terry? Do you also use a stabilizer on top to keep it that way? Seems I read somewhere that is was to do, or am I dreaming?

There's a stabilizer you lay over the top of the fabric.
What I have is super thin, almost like plastic wrap. It is a water soluble so it will wash away easier.
I have used it on towels and also when I did diaper burp rags along with using it on a fleece hoodie.
