    There's a stabilizer you lay over the top of the fabric.

    What I have is super thin, almost like plastic wrap. It is a water soluble so it will wash away easier.

    I have used it on towels and also when I did diaper burp rags along with using it on a fleece hoodie.

    You use stabilizer that dissolves in water on both the top and bottom. That keeps the thread from sinking into the nap.
