Great job! I love the color palette you are using. I have been working on that Katja Marek for a couple of years too with very different colors. I loved picking the fabrics and putting the blocks together. It was so much fun ...... I actually finished the top last summer and have been very casually trying to get the hand quilting done. It just doesn’t seem to satisfy my creative mood anymore......hopefully I will manage to finish it this winter. I need to set weekly goals and make myself do it.

I would love to see what you have done! How did you decide to quilt itbas I can imagine that decision being a challenge!

Here is how mine turned out. The last block was the one with the purples and greens.....wish I had looked harder at the purples as they stand out too much but they were in my stash...

That's gorgeous!!!!!! You're doing a fantastic job.

Mum- I don't think the purple is wrong at all. Your piece is wonderful!!!

It's looking great! Maybe you can work on something else in between and not get discouraged.

Mumto2 I think it looks great - using so many solids and TOT looks so effective. Well done for completing it as well! When you say the purples stand out too much I assume you mean the small chain that is in the middle? Yes they do stand out but I don’t think it is a bad thing - your eye gets drawn to that part first before looking at all the details surrounding it. All quilts need contrast in my opinion .

I sort of considered this particular quilt to be a flower arrangement of garden flowers. So I wanted a good variety of color and some greenery.

Yes, the purple chain in the center is what I am still a bit tempted to switch out. If it was a flower I would have removed it. I haven’t quilted that part yet so I still have time........

My hat is off to you. Can't get the hang of EPP so the stitches don't show. Very pretty.
