The last estate sale I went to, my friend and I bought 450.00 worth of fabric for church. It was all a dollar a yard, so I went back the next day with my neighbor and she spent 120.00. She thinks she was in heaven. Two weeks later the gal who was running the estate sale called me and said she was done, but still had fabric left. So the neighbor and I went and bought the last of it for 500.00. It completely filled the back of her Toyota Rav 4 (with seats down). Quite a steal. Still sorting

WOW, what great quilts, where do you live, I have found fabric, and cut fabric, but nothing like you found. You are very lucky, enjoy! It is very nice that they found you, and they went home with you.

Great estate finds! I went to one on Saturday and everything was 1/2 off when I arrived. I bought quite a few yards of nice quilting fabric for $1 a yard. I know one of the daughters and she also gave a charity where I volunteer 68 yards of knit and 12 yards of sweatshirt fleece. I almost decided not to go because she would let me know when to pick up the donation. I'm so glad I did because I added to my personal stash and even got the donation delivered to the charity that day!

You are a true rescuer! An elderly lady left everything to our church. The hired appraiser put all the 'junk' into a dumpster. My parents went by and did their own evaluation, netting $1500 for antique laces and such for the church. This was in the 1960's.

Great finds. There are always estate sales in my area but maybe it's fortunate I don't have time to go... : )
