Just wondering if you got any kind of estimate before you turned over the quilt to be quilted? Was there any explanation as to why it was so expensive? I have yet to take a quilt to be quilted professionally. Any advice on what to ask before my quilt is held hostage?

yes I knew before I left what the charge would be, I just posted this to laugh at myself because after I chose the design and she gave me the price I was too embarressed to back out. Silly I know. Never again.
I have bigger ...um... guts now!

Kathy, I am really curious about what the entire quilt looks like. Could you post another picture of the completed quilt?

That price is about what everyone around here charges and some I have seen are not that good. In fact some I have seen if I had paid that much I would have sat down and cried the quality was so bad. I will just keep quilting mine on my machine. I don't to a great job but the quilts I make are love quilts and the people I make them for are not examining the quilting, thank goodness.

,Kathy I have learned the hard way- ask to see a sample and to speak to a costomer. Could this have been the first tie using a longarm for someone? I like the colors but I would be having a hissy too

Cathy , I missinderstood you.I thought You were not happy with the Guilting- you. I think the quilt is beautiful. The quilting WAS expensive in my opinion, hey, but what do I know I just want you to be happy with everything. I sound like a nabypamby on this I now feel like I offened you and I'm very sorry that was not my intent. I guess I'm using this forum and some of my present life is sneeking in- and that dear one is NOT what I want to do. When I'm here I want to get away
    please, forgive this ol' bat
