I have always wanted to join in on New Year’s Day but like Kristi, I think I’ve got my hands full with BH’s mystery.

I cut out my squares for the twin size, and since she indicates she did the quilt sizes to allow for a border if wanted, I'll probably make a border after the reveal. If I like the pattern I might make another, but with fabric I like better. I chose some older fabric that I don't mind using for a charity quilt. If there will be large pieces (I'm guessing that too, else how can you sew it in only one day?) then I might not want to keep it. I don't usually sew with large pieces. :-) My darkest print is a crazy patch cheater print. I'm hoping that will give some interest!
I am doing the twin size as well, because when I purchased my fabrics on vacation, I only bought one metre for fun.... now comes the fun I love the bird fabric but they may look like they've hit a tropical storm as I'm pretty sure some of them will end up being upside down or sideways.

If you recheck where the directions say to cut the squares, she also gives instructions on which ones to cut.
