I think you need to pull one of the "bright" deep colors out of the quilt, like the burnt orange, deep turquoise or dark brown. If you have any more of the fabric that looks like "rain drops" that would work great too. The mottled yellow and green seem too light and blend with the outer border sashing.

For sure i would go with green, but just FYI i have been cutting 2 1/2 strips for binding all the time but i just did one baby quilt and a dear friend told me to try the 2 1/4 strip instead and i like it a lot more. You might want to give that a try.

I usually cut 2 1/2" strips and iron folded in half for my bindings so it would be just enough of an accent I think. Thanks!
