Hi your quilt is beautiful and I am glad you got it done. I started one soon after you posted yours and now have twelve 18" blocks to join. Such a process but the design is beautiful. I am interested in what design you are going to use for quilting. I hope to have a LAQ do mine as I don't want to do that much hand stitching. The way you did the outside is beautiful and stops the design. But I already have mine made continuing the design so will probably just leave it. I plan to post picture soon.

That is fantastic. An awful lot of piecing in that, and what lovely colours. I hope you make the fair. Love to see it finished please.

I looked it up today and the quilts need to be delivered to the fair on May 15th or 16th. Sooner than I thought!

The thread should be delivered tomorrow or Wednesday so need to get the backing washed and ready. I REALLY wish that I had the Red Snappers that I ordered a month ago to load the quilt!

Ha! I was just thinking that it looked like a wood inlay floor. Then I thought, "Cathedral Floor" because it is like a Cathedral Window quilt in the shape of the blocks.

One thing I learned is that I should have used Elmer's glue to attach the flange before sewing it. I used a large stitch close to the edge to sew it to the black and it wanted to draw up the length of the black slightly. Had I glued it first, like a binding, it wouldn't have done that.

Because of this, it made the outer border just a tiny bit wavy though it was cut the correct length (I double checked). I can fix that with some starching and a damp pressing cloth but, thought I would mention it.
