I took a break from the sampler quilt I'm working on and made this fall quilt. The pattern is shown on the cover of American Patchwork Quilting Oct. 2008, (designed by Avis Shirer of Joined At The Hip) and my daughter and I loved it.

The Flying geese squares were not easy and they're not lined up real great, but I'm still pleased with the overall result. Now it's on to the quilting.

Nice quilt! And I love the orange and blue. I wouldn't have thought of matching those two though I do a lot of orange and green. Thanks for opening up my mind to another color combo! All the reason to make one more quilt ...

Looks great! This is the pattern I'm using for my "flying geese quilt".
It's taking me forever. How long did it take you and did you machine or hand piece?

Looks great to me. I'm working on my first flying geese blocks right now. Hope mine turn out as nice as yours. I love the colors you've used. Can't wait to see the quilting.
