Oh so striking, QuiltE! I also have one done with this size of squares but there's only 6 leaves. Would you like to see?

I made this over 10 years ago. I remember sewing on the stems on our way to WDE. It's the year we met our future SIL so that's been at least 11 years!

WDE time is usually the peak time for foliage in our part of the country

(WDE--World Dairy Expo in Madison)

Thanks for letting me share G

Border fabric has faded over the years!

Of course, you can share .... I'd be disappointed if you hadn't!! :)

Too funny .... on the similarities. I didn't hand sew the stems, rather I used a striped fabric! And too ... that the outside quilting was done the same as how I did mine. Centre part I just SITD with the blocks and rows. GMTA!!! Must be the farmer in us.

Yes, WDE is a beautiful leaf time here too ... I always enjoyed our drives to and fro. Well, except the time fog hit the area and the drives to/fro the hotel were wicked (we hadn't got one in Madison, so it was a wicked trek!) Another time we had a wonderful trip out to Hoard's etc!!

Weren't you suppose to go to Madison this year?? Oh them's were the days!

S and DIL are driving up tomorrow. D and SIL work in the AI industry so WDE is intense week for them.

You should add this pick to the scrappy thread

It is beautiful. reminds me of a little Alzheimer's lady I took care of. She complained of being chilled. I said, "Fall is in the air" and she replied, "It's in the kitchen too."
