I have no idea. She worked for a major publishing house up until a couple of months ago, so I would imagine it was from some long discarded pattern.

What a wonderful story. I am finishing hand quilting a wedding ring quilt from my grandmother. Just before she died (age 93), she made the last square. It was given to me years ago to finish and I did make the sandwich. I can tell you I made every mistake possible - wrong seam allowance, wrong backing, wrong batting, etc. but I will treasure it always - if I ever get it finished!

Absolutely beautiful, quilt and quilting. Very great colors and pattern. So glad you Ladies were able to finish it up. You have a real treasure.

Krystyna, I was totally oblivious you had lost everything in Sandy! I am so sorry. Amazing that you were able to rescue this quilt and it looks like it never saw such devastation. It looks absolutely wonderful. I am so happy a fellow board member was able to quilt it for you.
