Her work is exquisite. I'm still boggled by someone sending a quilt back to have a border removed!!!

wow her work is just beautiful and I would love to take a class with her some day to. Her quilting is to die for. Thanks for sharing. You are one lucky lady to have gotten to meet Karen McTavis to. Thanks for sharing.

I totally agree!!!!
Yes, me too!! Hard to believe but I guess nothing shocks me anymore!
Just gotta say:
thank goodnes the quilt WAS returned (for fixing!) or we would never have seen it (as it would have been stuck away in a closet)! It is brilliant.

So neat you got to meet her. Thanks for sharing your pictures and story. Can't believe someone sent a quilt back, much less one as beautiful as that, borders and all. It is beautiful. I would have kept it too, and the person that sent it back would be on my "no quilts for them" list. McTavish does wonderful work and it would be an honor to meet her.

thanks for sharing the beautiful pics. People have differnt tastes, I would have kept the quilt too before butchering it. It is just gorgeous.

Her work is impeccable! Some people are just too picky! How dare anyone even suggest taking that border off????

Oh man....I'm just jealous! I'd love to see her in person. I'd have had to kill the person wanting that border removed on that quilt...its is stunning!
