I was at that same quilt show! I only live about 20 miles north of Cullman.....I remember that car-quilt well. I loved it!

Hi Twinkie...I am in Birmingham and have seen a similar quilt when a show was held on Hwy 119 a couple of years ago..I think it is a super quilt...very creative...

The museum had one many years ago and it was super heavy. It faded a lot too. The next one will be using a foundation of a real car cover and either rip stop nylon or sunbrella fabric.

That was my thought!! I sure hope people who spend their time doing such lovely work don't have that happen....btw, I do love it! So colorful and happy looking.

Amazing! I'm in awe not only of the piecing, but of how the quilter figured out the shaped seams required to so perfectly cover the vehicle,✂️

This is quite the project. I wonder if it was done by a group or by an individual. Pretty cool!

That's a great quilt, and I love it. However, I couldn't imagine spending that much time on a quilt and putting it on a car in the sun and having it fade! Maybe it covers the car when it's in the garage, or maybe it's just there to show at quilt shows??

Wow! I can't even begin to imagine how she figured out how to do it. Do you think she had a pattern? LOL
