Always great to work with the young minds - everything is an adventure to them. Love the view from your shack veranda. I would spend at least half the time daydreaming!

Ah, summer on the porch quilting. What a dream from cold, wet rain/snow/ice and windy Michigan. What fun it must be to mentor and friend a young quilter. Lucky Heidi and Lucky you.

What a gift you gave her! She's off to a great start. Had to check your location when you said summer day. :-)

She is so blessed to have such a wonderful teacher. Her quilt is beautiful, as is yours. And the view from your porch is fantastic. Can I come play on your porch, too?

Lovely batik quilt and I LOVE your yellow and black quilt pattern. Is it in some book somewhere. I've never seen that pattern. Great job. Thanks for sharing. Soooo, it's summer in Australia. We are having WINTER big time here. Snow, Ice storms, cold, cold weather and freezing rain is happening as I wirte this. Weather not fit for man or beast!

Default A quilt mentor

I agree - how wonderful that you and Heidi are quilting together! And the view from your window - I love it. I'd probably get sidetracked looking at the mountains and water. What an inspiration for your next quilt projects!

Neat to see younger ones starting. You may have a new quilting buddy!
