I like it, The colors are real nice in person, not sure how they translate on a monitor, they seem dull on my monitor. I think she will enjoy it.

Here is the story of why she is in the hospital.

She has adult onset diabetes. She is in her mid to late 50s and smokes, drinks, doesn't eat well, is over weight and doesn't monitor her sugars. She got a chest cold and the doc prescribed steroids. Somehow that went bad and she went in with trouble breathing. Her blood sugar was at 1300! (Truely) They had her in the ICU and after two days they put her in a medically induce coma. They brought her out after a few days and have found that her heart has been weakened by all this. I don't know how much longer they will keep her but then she will have to go to a nursing home for care. She is married to my dh's brother. Her name is Gaylene, if you pray. Sadly, she does not have a saving faith.

Okay, I need to get to town. It was great motivation to share it here on the board. Thank you.

Good job on doing a fast job. The colors are very pretty on my monitor. Bless you for caring enough to put everything else aside and work so diligently.
Prayers go up for Gaylene. Hope she gets better and then watches her sugars. I too, am diabetic but keep it pretty well under control. Knock on wood and hope it stays that way!

My cousin has just found out she has breast cancer so our sewing group got together and made this quilt for her for a suprise. My daughter is going to quilt it tomorrow on the longarm. I love this pattern. I made a king size quilt for my bed because it is so fast and easy. I'm sure your sis-in-law will love it because it came from the heart.

Love the colors you used. The quilt top is beautiful. What pattern is this? You are a working wonder. Prayers for Gaylene. Bless you for doing this for her so quickly. Can't wait to see the finished product. Hugs, Sandy

your quilt is beautiful. and for going at warp speed on it, you still managed to get all the seams to line up right. great job! will look for the finished quilt tomorrow. God speed to Gaylene.

I am sorry about your cousin's diagnosis. The quilt will help her. Both in keeping her warm and loved:) . I received a fleece pillow (24 in x 18 in x 2 in thick) it has been my buddy since Sept of 09. I used in the hosp and in the car under the seatbelt. I also used it in crowds to keep people from bumping into me .
