Beautiful work! I can't even imagine how long it must take to hand quilt like this. Do you design your own wholecloth quilting patterns?

I think the King Tut frays a little more than YLI, but it was okay for me because I always use threads of about 20" length. King Tut has a nice glance and wonderful colors - also the colores YLI don't have.

For the heart quilt I used precut stencils in two different sizes. The smaller patterns are just parts of them. I did the arrangement of the patterns, it wasn't a preprinted top. Mostly I do my own designs and I also draw my own patterns, but I am very inspired by the traditional wholecloths quilt made in Wales and England.

I use short lengths, too, usually no more than 20 inches. My experiences with threads that don't have a glaze on them have not been fun! But King Tut does have those colors....Thanks for sharing!
