I did this a few years ago and knew Id get it back out and work on it again eventually...it's my 1st machine pieced quilt top...but now wont make my 1st machine quilt as I started quilting other things after Christmas! Don't you do that too? or do you actually get christmas projects done in time? :?: I rarely do.
Maybe border it with a solid row, then do a candy stripe or wild goose pattern around and finish off with another solid. I don't want to take anything away from the top though.
If there is a piece Ive done that I'll always love, and never give away, it's this.

It's really beautiful. You really should keep it for yourself! Hope you get it finished in time to use this coming Christmas! Sometimes I finish up my Christmas crafts right after Christmas. It helps extend the season, and then it's ready for next year.

I think it needs the same red for a border that you've got in between the rows. That will frame it nicely. You can put just about anything else as another border, but something subdued would let the quilt itself show.
I love it!

What a fun sampler! I
m in agreement on the framing with red borders. As for finishing christmas items, many are done before the big day but there will always be a few that help to extend the memories of the holidays! ;-)
