Finally finished isolation project
It’s been quite a year for everyone..decided to use my giant bag of strips and scraps and orphan blocks..I string
pieced for months..then assembled into quilts...made 11 lap or wheel chair quilts, 6 larger throws, and two twin quilts..all from my stash, til it came to backings..I bought multiple yards of flannel whenever it was on sale, to make nice soft backs..then I either quilted with decorative stitches or quilted in the hoop on embroidery machine..will eventually donate to nursing homes or Hospice when possible again. Looks a bit insane, right?

Yes, this has been an excellent year to dig into what is at hand and create then donate.I have been tracking my accomplishments this 2020 and have been surprised at the number of quilts I have made mostly to give away. Oldquilter, congratulations on using what you had, clearing away those strips and making warmth for others. Sometimes the "thank you" is all we need to return to our stash and make just one more.
