I hate stitch in the ditch because it is so difficult to stay directly on the seam. If you have a serpentine stitch on your sewing machine it works so much better, looks prettier, and is very forgiving if you get off a thread or two. Try it on a scrap and see if you like it. Always enjoy your posts, Don. Keep up the good work!

You make such beautiful quilts, Don. I don't see a thing to critisize. Awesome, I really like the stars.

Great job! Don, have you ever put the ties on the back of the quilt? The tails are not distracting to the viewer then. They bother some people, but I have tied many a quilt.

Great quilts as usual! Two comments... for ties its a good idea to use square knots so they don't come untied when laundered. If you are not familiar with that there are several tutorials online. My sister taught me that and she was right! LOL My other comment is to be careful about quilts set on point... they are VERY ADDICTIVE! Once you get hooked its hard to stop. If you use the same pattern for two quilts and set one in regular rows and set one on point you will get very different and fun looks. Sometimes you cant even recognize that its the same pattern! I love setting them on point and its not as hard as it sounds. I have Fons and Porter's On Point ruler and I love it. Hope you decide to make more and post them for us to see. Great job on both.

I love your use of the dark butterfly fabric in the on point quilt, as well as the TOT white. I thing the TOT adds so much more than just using a solid white. It's a wonderful quilt. I also love how you tied the shirt quilt. I might try that next time I make a t-shirt quilt!
You do such wonderful work, thank you for always being an inspiration!!!
