This was a 6" block, enlarged to 12. I haven't figured out how I am going to quilt this, nor how to attach the center fans......any suggestions?

Seeing it layed out in the second picture, It might be fun to quilt them down! Quilt lines around the centers, and then down through the blades so that the edges are left free and it would give them a 3D effect. That is assuming that the edges of the blades are finished somehow.

I love this idea....the blades are finished, so quilting down the middle would give it some more dimention.

I love the design, and I would hand applique, but that is because I llike to hand stitch in the evenings. You could still quilt down their centres afterwards.

I have absolutely no idea about quilting, but I absolutely love those soft, smokey colours you picked.
