I made this quilt a couple of years ago - I know what book I used but I can't find it right now - all the patterns used Layer Cakes (10" squares) it was very easy - I will look for the book later and see if I can find the exact name. I think you use a print layer cake and a solid layer cake square to make two HST - then cut slice the HST into equal slices and sew them back together to get the mountains - so to speak.

Hi Otis, I love this quilt. It is so beautiful and I love the earthy colors. I am going to search for the pattern to see if I can make one someday :-)

Ok, I found the book and pattern, Yeah!!! The Book is called, " Have your Cake and Make it Too!" by Creek Side Stitches. The Pattern is called, Scenic Lodi Valleys. They have a website: www.creeksidestitches.com - I checked the website and the pattern is available by itself - I didn't see the book - so there you go.

I really like that pattern and the fabric color selections. They were made for each other. Thanks for sharing.

My husband just looked over my shoulder and say, " Oh, that's pretty". I agree. BrendaK

Congratulations on finishing that beautiful quilt, I would keep it myself also. Sometimes quilts have to age, like fine wine before being completed.
