I have just read a thread about bleeding. Some very good ideas and recipe on getting red staining out. Look for the thread." Note to self, don't do that again"
My I be your husband I love the quilt and I'm not a flowery pink person at all.

I looked at the pictures first after reading it was for your husband. My eyes noticed the lovely balanced center and I took in that nice vine with hearts. My eye traveled all around the perimeter; I did not notice that the vine density changed from side to side. I did not notice that the corners were not all the same. Then I returned to read your entire post and re-looked at the quilt. By golly, what you said is true but it is not obvious at all. I just thought I was studying a wonderful, great quilt and was wishing I was the one that had made it. You made a wonderful quilt and I'm sure your husband will treasure it.

Your quilt is Beautiful ! If you had not pointed out the imperfections I would not have noticed them. Your husband will be so thrilled that you made this for him. I am sure you both will enjoy it. I know I would love to have one just like it.

Thank you all for your wonderful comments. I have never used color catchers before. And I did dry it in a hot dryer-- So I messed up?? The bleeding is not terrible but would have preferred it not be there. I just should have thought about RED before I washed it. The lattice behind the quilt was the pattern for the quilting I so appreciate that you did not notice the imperfections. Since you did not I am sure he will not! He may not even notice the bleeding. I didn't without my glasses! lol
