Finished Kelly's Surprise Quilt.

Oh, my goodness...what a treasure for Kelly. I can just imagine how wonderful it is going to make her feel and I am sure that this quilt is going to have an affect on the rest of her life - it is a short story of who she is right now. I think you are wonderful for doing this for Kelly.

What a wonderful thing to do!! Telling someone that they make you smile is one thing, but a quilt with that same message on the label is above and beyond. She will love it.

Thank you dcquilter and everyone for your kind comments. It gave me immense pleasure to hand it over this afternoon after school. Her Mum was there too. Kelly was beaming a huge smile from ear to ear in anticipation. She tried to look in the bag the wrapped quilt was in, eager to know what the surprise was! She waited for her Mum to finish her conversation with a friend and then Mum said she could open it right then, the paper flew. Opened with great excitement, and when she saw her name on the quilt, well, mouth open, big intake of breath, wide eyes and the quilt was cuddled close to her for a few minutes. I couldn't have wished for a better experience. She has given me even more pleasure because of that reaction. I am thrilled she was so pleased. Thanks again everyone.
