    Finished my first applique quilt!

I love this dove in front of a Star of David... I hope to raffle this quilt to support my daughter who is a medical missionary and travelling to Burma this summer. I was actually quite surprised to learn that I like applique so much... it always seemed so fussy and tedious, but I found it quite enjoyable!

Also, I used a frixion pen and had a little bit of ghosting on my red background. I was considering taking an extra fine tip red sharpie marker and trying to cover the ghost lines. Any other suggestions?

If you can get a perfect marker match but try it on scraps first. I might try a perfect match pencil crayon on scraps also. Lovely wallhanging!

I wouldn't use a Sharpie. I would buy a Pigma Micron pen since they are made for writing and marking on fabric. I am not sure if JAF sells the individual colors anymore. But any art supply store should have them. Very nicely done for you first applique!

put off till tomorrow what you can do today, and if you procrastinate long enough, you may never have to do it.

Thank you so much..... I just remembered that I have the micron pens in my scrapbook stuff! I will pull out the red and play with it on a scrap and see what I get.

Beautiful. I love that you used so many colors in the dove. And the background looks like stained glass.
