*HAPPY PANTS DANCE* FOR YOU! Your first quilt is like your FIRST LOVE! Always holds a special place in your heart! You did a BEAUTIFUL JOB! I also wish I had started quilting sooner. I started at 54, but I collected fabrics for years. I didn't even SEW.. I just loved fabrics...and would pet them all the time.
I was diagnosed as a "closet quilter" at 54 by a local quilter who heard about my fabric addiction. She MADE me take a beginners sampler class and it's been a love affair every since!
I'm very happy for you! You have just been inducted into a very loving and generous family! I just LOVE quilters!

I think first quilts are almost always the best. I've been so impressed with all the "first" quilts posted here. And when I think about it, of all the quilts I've made, one of my favorites is still my own first quilt.
