Ok - so I cant take a picture pinned on the clothes line this time as my line is down for building work! So - I laid it on the bed - you get the idea!

I machine quilted this on my Bernina 630, its only the second quilt I have free machine quilted, although I have years of machine embroidery practice under my belt.

This is a great quilt and you did a great job quilting it. All that pebbling added great texture and I am sure it was a lot of work to do!

So beautiful! Was it machine stitched with a darning foot?

WOW! That is a beautiful quilt. I love the colors. Anything with purple in it is a winner to me. That's my favorite color. I particularly like it with the green sashing.

Yes - I used the darning foot. I sooooo enjoyed doing this - it took me about 9 hours to quilt in total. Split down into two sessions.

Actually the green sashing was funny! I was originally going to put in white sashing, then my DH and I remembered the mess our cats make of my quilt that is currently on our bed - with muddy paws.....

So we went looking for something else and found the green. Our DD says it looks like 'Frog Spawn' ha ha - which is partly why I did the pebbling on the quilting - thought it would look good!

Thanks for all the kind words guys!

Beautiful quilt. I like the color scheme and the 'pebble' quilting adds a lot of texture. Great job.
