Default Finished quilt for my hubby

This quilt took nearly a year, mainly because I had so many other things going on in my life, but it is finally finished! Well, it was finished in March, but I'm just getting around to posting it. The narrow 1/2" strips of dark brown were a real pain because the narrow size and contrast with the off white next to it left no room for error or it was pretty obvious. My hubby picked the fabrics (with a little help). The pattern is Winter in the Pines by Cindi McCracken, but I changed it a bit and did 2 fewer vertical rows. I did a pieced back using fabrics from the front to inset a strip of rectangles the same size as on the front, but using all 3 of the colors where the front only has red for the rectangles.

Nice design. It reminds me of doors and windows. Love the snow in the photo.

Striking in design and colors! Square at its best and the label is the cherry of the cake. Congrats to that stunner.
