very pretty quilt.and maybe some day the 5 year old will grow up and have better manners then her mom.
But I do understand cause it happens in my family too.
But just give yourself a hug and learn to walk away.

Your quilt is great. Thought that comes to mind is that not everyone likes the same things. Maybe your niece doesn't like scrappy style. I thought after I finish my older daughter's quilt I'd make one for my younger daughter. I was thinking she'd like a pinwheel quilt. Well one day when she was home I was looking at a quilt magazine and showed one to her and she commented ugh theres a lot of triangles in it. So I'm thinking pinwheel isn't the way to go with her's I'm going be sure she like the design before I start hers.

Another fabulous quilt Rebecca!! So sorry you got such a negative response!! It's called 'happy families'!!!! I always felt my DIL never appreciated things I made, then a few months ago my 13yr old grandaughter came to stay with us... the first thing out of her bag... the first cot quilt I amde when she was born!!!! It was a panel hand quilted.. there is no picture left on it, just the quilting!!!! It goes everywhere with her!! Don't give up hope!!!

It's a beautiful quilt. I love it, next time send it to me I'll appreciate it and send you photos of me using it.
I know your pain, I've been there and try as we might, it still stings.

Duplicate it and keep it for yourself this time. You deserve it.

I'm so sorry your quilt wasn't appreciated. We all know how much time and love go into our quilts, and it's tough when that effort is ignored. I think your quilt is absolutely beautiful, and you can be proud of your work.

Beautiful quilt! So sad when the appreciation is not what you expected. I love your quilt!
