Hey Henry, without knowing what machine your parents have, or if they care to replace the belt... but there are websites that sell replacement parts for these old vintage machines!

Here's an example of a site that I'm probably going to use:

Your daughter's quilt is great. I know she loves it!! The pin cushion is adorable-great job. Love the old Singer-hope you find a belt soon.

Love the Quilt and the colors....pink is one of my favorites.....and the pin cushion too is neat-o....oh the machine too....I have an old one too but not a Singer needs the belt too...

Brazen, I'm sure your daughter has HUGE hugs for you for making her that quilt! If I were a project runway fan, I couldn't think of anything better.

Love your machine too, I think the old singers are the prettiest things...when I grow up and get a "real" house, I hope to find some old machines :wink:

Thank you!! I love my vintage Singer a LOT more than I ever would have thought. I'm not normally an antiquey kind of person. LOL

I think I'm going to do another pin cushion in 3 different fabrics... I wish I had someone to give those sorts of things as Xmas gifts to.
