    Hi Everyone,

I was so taken with Gcathie's pin cushion pattern, that she posted the other day, that I had to make one for myself. It was fun & quick to make. I hope to make a couple more for Christmas gifts.
    Thank you for looking,
    Cheryl

    Hi Ladies,
Thank you so much for the nice comments re: my pin cushion. The picture doesn't show it, but I also used red buttons on the top & bottom. With the black & white fabric, they make a nice contrast.
    Happy Holidays to all,
    Cheryl

I don't have the link to post for you. I received the information from Gchathie. She has posted up above you. Maybe she can send it your way.

    Thank you.

Your pin cushion/ scrap catcher is great!!! I went back to the home page and then to the General Chit Chat forum and found the pattern that Gcathie posted, but I don't know how to repost it... booo
If you would like it you may do the same. I printed the pattern and am going to make a few as gifts.
Thanks for the pattern and the photos!!

Love your pin cushion/scrap catcher. You can never go wrong with black & white - what did you use to stuff the pin cushion as I can't get flax seed over here, looked on the internet for Emery Sand but can only get it from the USA.

    Tisha,
I couldn't find flax seed, so I used Parakeet, Canary & Finch seed. It's the right weight, so I gave it a try. Does anyone know weather or not this was a good idea? My Mom thought I should use something else.

    Thanks to gcathie,

She told me not to use bird seed because it attracts moths!! So please if you are making a pin cushion & can't find flax seed, don't use bird seed.:( How silly of me, I should have known that.

I learned something valuable today, thanks.

Okay everyone this is my tip for the pin cushions.....Don't use any food! can get moths or mice or mealy bugs.....just a thought from me.....I had the moths from a bag of unopened bird seed....my what a mess.....

I thought about it don't use rice either......

    use: poly beads,sand,pebbles,glass rocks....ect...
