I couldn't find flax seed, so I used Parakeet, Canary & Finch seed. It's the right weight, so I gave it a try. Does anyone know weather or not this was a good idea? My Mom thought I should use something else.

Thanks to gcathie,
She told me not to use bird seed because it attracts moths!! So please if you are making a pin cushion & can't find flax seed, don't use bird seed.:( How silly of me, I should have known that.
I learned something valuable today, thanks.
