It went together very quickly in blocks which I quilted but I had too go over my hand sewing as I didn't like the look
How many hours was dependent on how good my wrist thumb and first finger were playing . I started about February this year.

I have often wondered if one could reverse applique by machine. Since you have experience with it by hand, what is your thought of doing by machine? Just wondering.

My answer is yes with a little forethought . I did hand stitch but didn't like it so I did machine . Here is a close up. You would have to work out how to turn edge hold down to sew. Perhaps a glue stick etc.
