    Great job! Your quilt is beautiful, and I'm sure the little boy will love it. Your kitty certainly does! I think the orange you're talking about is just a very thin border.

    Oh you did a great job Panda. There isn't one bad part of this quilt. The colors and design are really prefect. I think it will be a big hit. Nice job on trying something new. You did it!

    Great job! I also love your kitty.

    I don't really know what you would call that orange band. It's kind of hard to tell on my monitor. Is it "piping"? Piping is a tube of fabric sewn into a seam that has a string inside it to give definition. It is commonly used in upholstery.

    If that is double folded fabric, that was sewn in with the border, then it is called a flange :wink:

    Kwhite....be nice with my grandkitty!!! :shock:

    What a wonderful quilt for a special young man! You did a very nice job with everything. Is that orange possibly done with chenille? It sure adds a nice touch to the quilt.

    Good job Yumi! I like the flange, it sure adds a pop to it. I just finished my first machine quilting too. As soon as I get a binding on it I will post pics.
